The ultimate London bottomless brunch bucket list

I’m not entirely sure how it happened, but daytime drinking has suddenly become A Thing. Even in my student days, when drinking was taken almost as seriously as studying, it was considered bad form to start preparing the bathtub punchbowl until at least 5pm.

For my birthday last year a bunch of us went to the South Place Hotel for their famous brunch, where a two- or three-course set menu could be accompanied by unlimited Prosecco and ‘breakfast cocktails’ (what a fabulous concept!) for an extra £15. As my birthday always falls around Pride, the restaurant was heaving with revellers breaking in their livers before the festivities, so the atmosphere was pretty electric. Our initial plan was to eat, head to Trafalgar Square for the parade, then go home to get ready for a night out. What actually happened was I got so fucked I could barely remember my own name before staggering home and falling asleep at 5pm, not to awaken until after midnight. #rockandroll

This year we took the celebrations to Pachamama, a Peruvian restaurant in Marylebone. There was unlimited pisco punch for £16 and a good time was had by all. Or at least by almost all; Chris did have his elbow accidentally dislocated by James 1, who shall henceforth be known as the Pisco Puncher, but he’s alright now so it’s fine.

If you too fancy an all-you-can-drink brunch and all the thrills and spills that inevitably come afterwards, here’s a big dirty list of establishments for you to slurp your way down. You’re welcome, you big lush, you.
